China's "Artificial Sun" (controllable nuclear fusion) is gaining momentum thanks to the Yangtze River Delta integration, a key driver of technological breakthroughs. In Hefei, the capital of east China's Anhui Province, the Experimental Advanced Superconducting Tokamak (EAST) facility, a core "Artificial Sun" site, is being upgraded with support from the region's high-end supply chains for key components. With 60% of major reactor parts produced locally, the fusion alliance is boosting high-end manufacturing and industrial upgrading. This collaboration strengthens China's global position in fusion tech and advances its path toward commercialization.
