Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) has laid emphasis on research-focused education and technological innovation in higher education since its return to China, said Chen Jimin, a member of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), at the third Members' Corridor of the fourth session of the committee on Wednesday.
Four national key laboratories have been established in the SAR, covering fields including Chinese medicine, microelectronics, Internet of Things for smart city, and lunar and planetary sciences, said Chen.
