According to reports from Iranian media on Wednesday, Iran's education minister said that attacks conducted by the United States and Israel since late last month have resulted in the deaths of 206 students and teachers, with 161 others injured.
Minister Alireza Kazemi made these remarks in an interview with the state news agency IRNA, following a funeral ceremony for military commanders killed in the same attacks.
Iranian authorities report that regional tensions escalated significantly after February 28, when Israel and the US carried out a joint military operation against Iran, claiming over 1,200 lives and injuring approximately 10,000 people.
