Record-size offshore wind turbine jackets headed from China to Europe

Eight Chinese-made jacket foundations bound for Scotland's Inch Cape offshore wind project were delivered to southern China's port city Zhuhai on Wednesday. The delivery marks the largest single-unit offshore wind turbine jackets China has sent to Europe, with the tallest jacket standing at 95.44 meters - the height of a 35-story building. Located in the North Sea off the Scottish coast, the Inch Cape offshore wind farm will have an installed capacity of 1.08 gigawatts, powering half of Scotland's households once fully operational.
