Iran's new supreme leader Mojtaba Khamenei is "safe and sound," Yousef Pezeshkian, son of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, said on Wednesday.

In a post on his Telegram channel, Yousef Pezeshkian said that some friends who "had connections" had informed him of the supreme leader's safety. 

Earlier media reports said that Mojtaba Khamenei was injured in the joint US-Israeli strikes on Iran.
