Mojtaba Khamenei on Thursday released his first public message as Iran's new supreme leader, saying that the closure of Strait of Hormuz should be continued as "a tool to pressure the enemy."

The Israeli army continued its strikes on Iran on Thursday. In a statement, it claimed that it had struck the Taleghan facility in Tehran, describing it as a site used in Iran's efforts to advance its nuclear capabilities.

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said that he instructed the military to prepare for expanding its "operations" against Hezbollah in Lebanon.
