Russia said on Thursday that it had repelled a Ukrainian drone attack targeting a gas compressor station linked to the TurkStream gas pipeline, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.

The ministry said 10 Ukrainian fixed-wing attack drones were downed early Thursday morning over the compressor station in the settlement of Gai-Kodzor in the Krasnodar region.

The station supplies gas to the TurkStream pipeline, which delivers Russian gas to Europe via Türkiye. No damage to the facility was reported, the ministry said.

Russian energy giant Gazprom said an airborne attack was also repelled on early Thursday morning at another compressor station supplying the Blue Stream, a major trans-Black Sea gas pipeline that carries natural gas to Türkiye from Russia.

On Wednesday, Gazprom said that since February 24, a total of 12 attempted attacks on the company's gas compressor stations in southern Russia had been repelled.
