Standing atop Zhushapu in Maotai Town, the Memorial Tower commemorates the four crossings of the Chishui River by the Central Red Army during the Long March (January 29 to March 22, 1935). The tower is 25 meters high, symbolizing the 25,000-li Long March. The tower's body is composed of four overlapping, giant wave-shaped pillars, symbolizing the Red Army's remarkable achievement in crossing the Chishui River. The base is shaped like a wooden boat, symbolizing the revolutionary cause's triumph over adversity.
