On the morning of March 11, 33 Chinese citizens who had been working in Iran arrived safely in Urumqi, the capital of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Their return marks a successful operation by Chinese authorities to assist nationals stranded overseas amid heightened tensions in the Middle East. Following extensive coordination by Chinese diplomatic missions and relevant government departments, the evacuees were transported via a China Southern Airlines flight rerouted from Azerbaijan to China. The Urumqi Immigration Inspection Station opened a dedicated "green channel" to ensure fast and efficient clearance, offering warm and thoughtful services to ease their journey home.
