Manting Park in Xishuangbanna, southwest China has a history of more than 1,300 years, making it the oldest park in the region. It was once the royal garden of the Dai kings, and today offers rich historical and cultural value.
The park mainly features three themes: Dai royal culture, Theravada Buddhist culture and Dai folk culture. It is home to over 500 well-preserved ancient ironwood trees, as well as hills, rivers and strong ethnic cultural sights, forming a natural village-style park.
Every evening, the park holds a song, dance and bonfire party. It fully showcases the cultures of China's Dai people and those of Southeast Asian countries such as Cambodia and Laos. Cultural integration here helps increase tourism consumption and creates a better experience for visitors.
