A US military refueling aircraft crashed in western Iraq on Thursday, March 12, killing six service members on board, according to the US Central Command. US officials say the crash of the KC-135 Stratotanker was not caused by enemy or friendly fire. Despite this, an Iraqi militia later claimed responsibility for "shooting down" the aircraft.
