At Urumqi Tianshan International Airport, the cold wave has prompted an emergency contingency plan activation, with ground crews working around the clock to de-ice aircraft, clear runways and assist passengers navigating weather-related disruptions. Continuous snowfall has made highways slippery. Police activated emergency plans, pre-positioned anti-skid materials and are working with crews on snow removal and patrols to assist stranded vehicles.
