Infrared cameras in southwest China's Ailao Mountains have captured rare wild species, including macaques, silver pheasants and yellow-throated martens, foraging and roaming the subtropical forests. As a biodiversity hotspot, the reserve provides first-hand data for research. It also shows the local ecosystem is getting healthier and habitats are more intact than ever.
