Chinese scientists on a research mission in the Indian Ocean have rescued two migratory birds in distress. The Dayang-95 ocean expedition team is currently conducting a scientific survey of seafloor mineral deposits. The two white wagtails were likely overpowered by the monsoon winds and showed visible signs of exhaustion when they landed on the Chinese expedition vessel. The researchers nurtured them back to health before releasing them. White wagtails are small migratory birds widely distributed across Eurasia and Africa.
