Endangered Baer's pochards appear in Shandong Province wetland

A flock of Baer's pochards recently joined other birds gliding in waters of the Huihe Wetland in eastern China's Shandong Province. Classified as critically endangered, this species has extremely high demands for habitat and water quality. Thanks to ecological restoration, the wetland now serves as a paradise for more than 200 bird species.
