The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said on Monday that the Israeli Air Force recently carried out a strike on a space-related facility in Tehran, the capital of Iran, with intelligence support.

According to the Israeli military, the facility was used to develop anti-satellite capabilities and to advance Iran's military space projects, including the development of the Chamran‑1 satellite.

Iran launched the Chamran-1 satellite into orbit using the domestically developed three-stage solid-fuel Qaem-100 rocket in September 2024.
