Powerful storm brings blizzard conditions to northern US

A powerful storm chain brought blizzard conditions to the northern United States on Sunday.

According to the National Weather Service, as of late Sunday afternoon, over 20 inches (around 50 cm) of snow had fallen in some parts of southeastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin.

Warnings of hazardous road conditions were issued across Minnesota, Michigan and Wisconsin, where transportation officials warned of worsening conditions on Sunday, with low visibility and snow-covered roadways.
