A Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson said on Tuesday that China firmly opposes illegal unilateral sanctions imposed by the European Union (EU) against Chinese entities.

Responding to a related query at a regular press briefing, spokesperson Lin Jian said China urges the EU side to correct its wrongdoings, and work with China to jointly maintain peace, stability and prosperity of cyberspace in a responsible and constructive manner.
