China's second homegrown large cruise ship completes lifeboat release test

China's second domestically built large cruise ship, the Adora Flora City, completed a lifeboat release test on Tuesday in Shanghai. The test verified the lifeboat release mechanism, followed by a maneuvering trial to assess the performance of 18 lifeboats and two rescue boats in normal and emergency conditions. With a gross tonnage of 141,900 tonnes, the ship can accommodate over 5,200 passengers and has 2,130 cabins. The ship will undock on Friday for dockside mooring tests, with sea trials set for late May.
