German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said Monday that sending European military forces into the Strait of Hormuz would risk dragging Europe into a war that the United States started without consulting them.

Pistorius made the comments during a joint appearance in Berlin with his Latvian counterpart, Andris Spruds, after US President Donald Trump demanded that NATO partners help secure the vital waterway.
