Iran confirmed that its top security official, Ali Larijani, secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, was killed in an Israeli strike. 

Israel continues its strikes on Beirut, Lebanon, as two people were killed near Tel Aviv after Iranian missile launches early Wednesday morning.

Meanwhile, attacks were reported on the US embassy in Iraq for the second straight night, as Gulf countries, including Bahrain and Kuwait, also reported missile threats. 

Joe Kent, director of the US National Counterterrorism Center, announced on Tuesday that he has decided to resign from his position, citing the ongoing war in Iran.
