Xinjiang has insured 34 ancient trees in the Tianshan Mountains under a new "insurance + service" model, directly covering treatment costs for natural disasters and pests. With over 30,000 registered ancient trees, the region now uses a public-commercial insurance mechanism to fund protection, with coverage of up to 100,000 yuan per tree. By the end of this year, all ancient trees over 500 years old are expected to be fully insured.
