Venezuela declared a national holiday on Wednesday following its first World Baseball Classic (WBC) title, capped by a 3-2 victory over the United States in Miami on Tuesday night.
The win comes at a time of political turmoil for the country following the US seizure of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro during a military raid in January.
