Chimelong Safari Park in Guangzhou, the film location for the 2014 Chinese movie Where Are We Going Dad? and adapted from a hit reality show, is one of China's top AAAAA tourist attractions, drawing large crowds this spring.
Set within expansive pristine subtropical rainforest landscapes in Guangdong Province, the park is home to more than 500 species and over 20,000 animals, including many rare and endangered ones.
Opened in 1997, it is renowned for its large-scale free-range wildlife habitats and immersive experiences, such as self-drive safaris, train tours and cable car rides. Highlights include the world's only surviving giant panda triplets, China's first proboscis monkey baby, and the largest koala population outside of Australia.
