A high-level dialogue held on Wednesday in Brasilia, the Brazilian capital, gathered guests from both China and Brazil in discussions on sharing opportunities from the huge Chinese market and strengthening cooperation in various fields.
The event, named "China in Springtime: China's Development Opportunities for the World," was held by China Media Group (CMG) and the Chinese embassy in Brazil.
"China's development is inseparable from the world, and global prosperity also needs China," said CMG president Shen Haixiong at the event. He added that CMG is willing to leverage its world-class integrated communication capabilities, technological innovation strengths and rich media resources to help ensure that the achievements of Chinese modernization better benefit the world and to share new opportunities arising from China's high-quality development with global partners.
The event gathered about 120 Chinese and Brazilian guests from political, business, academic and media circles. They noted that the growing Chinese market is seeing a higher level of opening up, and countries around the globe, including Brazil, are sharing increasing opportunities as a result.
The guests expressed hope that China and Brazil will strengthen cooperation in various fields and work jointly for peace, development and win-win cooperation.
Leaders from Fortune 500 companies also shared their stories of running businesses and making investments in China and how their companies advanced green transitions in the country.
The event also included a youth forum where guests discussed topics like cooperation on poverty reduction and people-to-people exchanges.
Video clips from a TV program about China's robot manufacturing industry were also displayed at the dialogue.
