What he thought was history turned out to be a doorway.

After clearing Black Myth: Wukong, Abdelquoddousse Kailil from Morocco, a student at Peking University's School of Chinese as a Second Language, travels to Datong, Shanxi Province only to find himself transported into a mysterious game called The Datong Code.

There, he meets Yuwen, a guide who will lead him through the journey, played by Hou Shuyue, a student at Peking University's School of Journalism and Communication.

In front of the Yungang Grottoes, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Kailil, or Kai, receives a hammer and his first clue. To return to reality, he must gather all five elements hidden within Datong's intangible cultural heritage.

The quest thus begins.
