Helicopter deployed to rescue fisherman injured at sea

A fisherman fractured his ankle after being injured by a rolling drum 120 nautical miles from Shiyang Port on March 20. The East China Sea Rescue Bureau coordinated a quick helicopter rescue, with a flight route arranged and local emergency services on standby. At 2:50 p.m., the helicopter reached the vessel, where a rescuer assessed the fisherman’s condition and transferred him using a double harness. At 4:55 p.m., the helicopter landed at Shiyang General Airport, and the fisherman was quickly sent to the hospital for treatment.
