Australian mining giant Fortescue has committed over $7 billion to Chinese green tech firms, signing deals exceeding $1 billion with XCMG and $6.2 billion in contracts with BYD, Longi, and Envision. This strategic investment aims to rapidly decarbonize its operations by leveraging advanced renewable energy solutions and electric machinery.

Fortescue Co-CEO Dino Otranto told CGTN's reporter Huo Li that Chinese clean technology is critical to achieving the company's net-zero ambitions.
