China's embassy in Israel has again urged Chinese nationals to leave the country or move to safer areas as the security situation worsens.
In a notice issued on Monday, the embassy warned that missile and drone attacks on Israel have increased in scope, frequency and intensity, causing rising casualties and property damage. It noted multiple incidents in which people were harmed after failing to reach shelters in time.
The embassy urged Chinese nationals to stop leaving things to chance and leave Israel as soon as possible or evacuate to safer regions. It also advised staying away from key infrastructure and sensitive facilities, including airports, ports, power plants and refineries.
The notice called on Chinese nationals to strictly follow instructions from Israel's Home Front Command, ensure access to adequate shelters near their homes and workplaces, and immediately enter shelters upon hearing air raid sirens.
It stressed the importance of maintaining vigilance and avoiding any negligence that could put lives at risk. Those in emergencies are advised to promptly contact local police and reach out to the embassy for assistance.
The embassy will organize another group of Chinese nationals, including compatriots from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, to evacuate through the Taba border crossing in Egypt's South Sinai province on Wednesday, according to the statement. Chinese nationals in Israel, particularly in high-risk areas, are urged to make the necessary preparations.
