The Supreme People's Assembly (SPA) of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) on Sunday reelected Kim Jong Un as president of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK, the official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported Monday.
On the opening day of the first session of the 15th SPA, Jo Yong Won was elected chairman of the Standing Committee of the SPA, and Pak Thae Song was elected premier of the Cabinet, according to KCNA.
Jo and Pak were also elected respectively as first vice-president and vice-president of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK, KCNA said in another dispatch.
Apart from the elections, amendments and supplements to the Socialist Constitution of the DPRK are also high on the agenda for the session, KCNA said.
