Snow leopard rescued after being found trapped in desert

A snow leopard trapped in a desert in Turpan, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, was rescued on Saturday thanks to the joint efforts of police officers and forestry workers.
The endangered big cat is now receiving care and, once recovered, will be released back into the wild.
