Two people have been killed and dozens injured after an Air Canada flight collided with a Port Authority vehicle on the runway at New York's LaGuardia Airport on March 22.

The New York Police Department confirmed the incident, which occurred at around 11:38 p.m., prompting an emergency response from the Fire Department.

Authorities say the aircraft struck a fire truck after landing. Images from the scene show significant damage to the front of the plane.
