Chinese President Xi Jinping, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, on Monday inspected the Xiongan New Area in north China's Hebei Province. Xi viewed construction progress in the start-up zone and visited China Huaneng Group and the Xiongan campus of Beijing No. 4 High School. He also chaired a symposium on further advancing the high-quality construction and development of the new area.
