The Jilin Northeast Tigers edged the Beiijing Ducks 88-86 at home in Changchun, northeast China's Jilin Province, on Monday, claiming their 12th win of the Chinese Basketball Association season after 29 games.

Jiang Weize impressed the home crowd with a double-double of 26 points and 10 assists while sinking six three-pointers. D.J. Wilson contributed 17 points, eight rebounds, three assists and three blocks.

Jilin didn't get off to the best start, with the Northeast Tigers trailing 26-18 in the first quarter. But the momentum shifted as Jiang, Wilson and Dallas Moore combined to help the home side outscore Beijing 50-38 in the next two periods to snatch the advantage.

Despite the efforts of Chen Ying-Chun and Zhao Rui, the Ducks failed to turn the table. Chen scored 20 points and distributed nine assists, both team highs. Zhao added 10 points, six rebounds, eight assists, two steals and one block.

The visitors had more than one chance to battle back in the final minute. Beijing was down 87-86 with just over 20 seconds remaining, but Zhou Qi missed two free throws, just as he had failed to make his previous six attempts from the line.

Zhou then had another opportunity to save the day when Zhao passed the ball to him at the top if the key in the closing seconds, but his three-point attempt hit the rim, dooming the Ducks to their 11th defeat of the season.
