In a blunt assessment, journalist and political commentator Ghanbar Naderi explains why Gulf States should rethink their alliance with Washington. He argues that the US is now asking them to join a war it won't finish – and that if they do, the Trump administration will simply walk away, sell them more weapons and run the show by "remote control."
He points out that many Gulf states have spent "billions of dollars" and allowed the US military to build bases in their countries, only to be told by Washington, "Sorry, you can defend yourself."
"The American age, the American empire, the American century was the last century," Naderi says. "This century belongs to those who follow international law, who are globalists, who take care of everybody."
