China's top legislator Zhao Leji, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, said the people of Asia deeply cherish peace and stability. Zhao, who is a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, urged Asian countries to uphold a "common, comprehensive, cooperative and sustainable security" vision. In his call, he stressed the principle of respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all countries.
