Russia claimed on Wednesday that it took control of another settlement in Ukraine's eastern Donetsk region. The Russian Defense Ministry claimed in a statement on Telegram that its forces captured the village of Nykyforivka, about 24 kilometers east of the cities of Sloviansk and Kramatorsk. On the same day, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said that Ukrainian forces had engaged in 191 battles with Russian troops over the past day and repelled offensives on multiple fronts.
