30,000 trains and counting: The engine of China-Europe freight growth

At the fifth-generation border gate in Manzhouli, in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, China-Europe freight trains roll steadily toward global markets. As a vital hub on the "Eastern Corridor," the port has become a key engine of cross-border connectivity.

Since 2013, more than 30,000 trains have passed through Manzhouli, linking over 60 Chinese cities with 14 countries.

Behind the scenes, the port manages complex operations – from container transfers and customs inspections to "track gauge changes" required by the different rail systems of China and Russia.
