China launched the Shiyan-33 test satellite from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, located in the northwest, on Friday. The satellite was sent into space aboard a Long March-2C carrier rocket at 12:11 p.m. and successfully entered its preset orbit. The mission marked the 635th flight of the Long March carrier rocket series.
