In spring, the Yellow River in Linxia, China's Gansu Province flows slowly, forming gentle swirls as it moves downstream.

Groups of birds gather here during this season. Ruddy shelducks, mallards and spot-billed ducks can be seen resting, feeding and moving across the river. Egrets and grey herons glide low over the water from time to time. As spring sets in, the clear water and flocks of birds create a calm-yet-lively scene along the river.
