The Commissioner's Office of the Chinese Foreign Ministry in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) on Friday lodged solemn representations to the US side, urging the US to immediately cease interfering in Hong Kong affairs and China's internal affairs in any form.
Commissioner Cui Jianchun summoned Julie Eadeh, Consul General of the United States in Hong Kong, and expressed strong dissatisfaction and firm opposition, in response to the so-called "security alert" issued by the US Consulate General in Hong Kong regarding HKSAR government's amendments to the Implementation Rules for Article 43 of the National Security Law, the office said in a statement.
