Three people were killed and 23 others injured in a building fire in Taiyuan, north China's Shanxi Province, on Saturday night, local authorities said.
The fire erupted at around 8 p.m. in Xiaodian District of Taiyuan, sources with the Taiyuan municipal government said.
Nine were in serious condition among the injured, according to the district's publicity department.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, and the aftercare work is also being carried out simultaneously.
