Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi condemned Israel's killing of three journalists in Lebanon on Saturday, offering his condolences. Araghchi said the killings amounted to "targeted assassination" and "violation of international law."

Lebanese officials reported that an Israeli air strike on a car in Jezzine, southern Lebanon, at noon on Saturday killed all four passengers, including three journalists. The victims were identified as Ali Shoaib, a correspondent for Al-Manar, Fatima Ftouni, a reporter for Al-Mayadeen, and cameraman Mohammad Ftouni.

The Israeli military stated on Saturday that Ali Shoaib was a member of Hezbollah's Radwan Force intelligence unit, operating under the cover of a journalist for the Hezbollah-linked Al-Manar network, although it provided no evidence.
