A leading Chinese economist is expressing strong confidence in China's economic prospects during the 15th Five-Year Plan period. Justin Yifu Lin, professor and dean at Peking University's Institute of New Structural Economics, said that China's focus is on developing new quality productive forces through technological innovation on March 30. Lin says China is maintaining its position as the world's primary growth engine.
