The Philippines has declared a national energy emergency as global supply disruptions push fuel prices higher. Gasoline has risen up to 12 pesos (20 cents) per liter, and diesel up to 18 pesos (30 cents) per liter.

Officials announced a 5,000-peso ($82) subsidy and plans to secure additional oil reserves.
