China's National Meteorological Center on Monday issued warnings for heavy rain, severe convective weather and dense fog, as widespread storms continue to impact southern regions of the country.

According to forecasts, from 8 a.m. on Monday to 8 a.m. on Tuesday, parts of southwest China and south China will experience severe convective weather, including thunderstorms and possible hail.
In some areas, particularly Hunan Province in central China, Jiangxi in east China, Guizhou in southwest China, and parts of south China's Guangdong, tornadoes may occur in isolated locations, the forecasts warned.
Regions including Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in south China, Guangdong, Hunan, Jiangxi, Fujian in east China, Chongqing Municipality in southwest China, and Guizhou will see moderate to heavy rain. Some areas in Guangxi and Guangdong are forecast to experience torrential downpours.

In addition, dense fog is expected during the morning hours of Monday. Affected areas include Chongqing, Hunan, Jiangxi, Zhejiang in east China, Fujian and Guangxi, with visibility in some locations dropping below 200 meters.
Authorities and residents are advised to take precautions against the impact of this weather on transportation, agriculture and urban operations, and to remain alert to secondary disasters such as flash floods, landslides and waterlogging in farmlands.
