Israel's fire and rescue service said a blaze broke out in the Neot Hovav industrial area, which houses multiple chemical plants, on Sunday, probably caused by intercepted missile debris. The site lies about 13 km from Beersheba and is near several Israeli military bases.
Authorities urged the public to stay away from the area due to hazardous materials, as 34 crews worked to contain the fire.
No injuries have been reported.
"No concern was found for a hazardous materials incident or risk to the public," Israel's Environmental Protection Minister Idit Silman said after the fire was brought under control.
