Yale University's a cappella choir, the Whiffenpoofs, visited Liping County in southwest China's Guizhou Province from March 23 to 24 for cultural exchange activities. They joined multiple Dong Grand Song choirs for an open-air concert at Zhaoxing Dong Village, blending voices across continents under the village gate. Beyond the music, the performers also explored ancient local drum towers and made ciba, a traditional Chinese snack made of glutinous rice pounded into paste, by hand.
