A green transformation: How young Chinese volunteers restore a desert

Recently, a group of young volunteers from all over China gathered in Minqin County, in northwestern Gansu Province, to plant trees. This year marks the 45th anniversary of the nationwide voluntary tree-planting campaign. Responding to the country's call for the young to build a green future, they went to the vast Minqin Desert, where they created a brand-new way to greet spring, turning the arid desert into a vibrant green land. What would you do to bring more green to our planet?
