China and Pakistan's foreign ministers will strengthen strategic communication and coordination on the Iran situation and other international and regional issues of common interest, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said on Tuesday.
Mao made the remarks at a regular news briefing when asked about Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar's arrival in China, scheduled for Tuesday.
As all-weather strategic cooperative partners who uphold mutual trust and support, China and Pakistan share similar positions and maintain close communication on major international and regional issues, Mao noted.
She said both sides will make new efforts to promote peace, end conflict and safeguard regional peace and stability.
